Whilst doing our family history we found many unusual names, one such name is Offington. It was used in different families all from the same area and interrelated. We know that there is a place near to Worthing in West Sussex called Offington but we don't know why these families started to use the name. Perhaps there are other instances of the name that we have not yet found and perhaps there is a connection with the town?
