James Alfred Woolgar

(known as "Alf")

Born: 5th October 1903 at Tarring Neville, Newhaven, East Sussex
Baptised:

Died: 1974 at 2 Portland Terrace, South Heighton, East Sussex
Cremated and ashes placed at St. Mary's Church, Tarring Neville

"Alf" was employed as a Delivery Man for Bannisters of Newhaven.




"Alf" married Mabel Mary Isabella Patterson-Taylor
at Southease Parish Church, Southease, East Sussex
They did not have any children.
They made their home in South Heighton, at
2 Portland Terrace.
 
  Along with the other members of the Woolgar family, Alf and Mabel were very musical and keen supporters of the Newhaven Carnival Society, taking part in the annual bonfire processions and entertaining at the concerts etc.
Mabel was very good at arts and crafts and the whole family used to
spend many, many hours on their various costumes.

Mabel sadly died suddenly in 1970 at South Heighton and James Alfred died four years later in 1974.
