Our Cousin Jean CB in Plymouth is celebrating her birthday today. Happy Brthday Jean xx
Today our Nephew Damon and and his wife Rachael are celebrating their 2nd Wedding Anniversary. Congratulations, can't believe it's 2 years!
All too soon it is time to leave Broadlands, Romsey. We have been here several times now and always love it.
We decided to go to Emsworth in Hampshire for the day but stopped off at Southdown Motorcaravans on the way, where we looked at some more motorhomes. Hey, there is one, just one that takes Dorothy's fancy. The biggest, most expensive one you could ever imagine. Feet back on the ground Dorothy!!
Then it was on to Emsworth. We parked up and walked along the waters edge into the small town and stopped off for a drink at one of the local pubs near the marina before walking back to the motorhome.
Tuesday
No excercise session today. Instead we decide to head for Arundel where we will stay the night to break our journey. We were close to Premier Motorhomes of Birdham near Chichester, so it would have been rude not to stop there! We seem to be seeing an awful lot of motorhomes over the past few days? Unfortunately, again, nothing took our eye.
Allan then suggested a stop at the Wyevale Garden Centre where they have a camping store. We bought a windshield for our gas BBQ and then Dorothy found they now have a Bon Marche outlet there, so that was another few £'s out of Allan's pocket!
We stopped at the opposite garden centre and there we saw a small kitchen garden for a window. We purchased one so that Dorothy could try to get some fresh herbs growing as she does miss her garden at our previous home.
We did eventually arrive in Arundel, West Sussex and settled down for a quiet night in.
Wednesday
We spent the day strolling around Arundel, looking around the shops and then had to make the long drive back to North Hailsham as we had arranged to see James, Frankie and Scartlett.
Thursday
We spent the day with James, Frankie and baby Scarlett and took them to Frankie's favourite place - yes, the Toby Carvery in Eastbourne. We think Scarlett is beginning to like it there too as the staff all make a fuss of her and she loves to say Hi ya to all the passers by! We stayed there again overnight. Thankyou Toby Carvery.
Friday
Good Friday
Today we visited Mum and Tony and then went to Sainsburys for shopping with them. We needed a big shop as we were heading off to Newhaven West Beach today. So excited to be going back. Summer is surely just around the corner now!
We settled ourselves in at the beach and later our friends Dave and Sue arrived with their motorhome. It was just like old times again.
Saturday
Today we received the extremely sad news that Allan's close friend Kevin T, whom he had known since school days, has passed away. We are very upset and our thoughts and condolences are with his lovely family.
A quiet day with our thoughts, remembering Kevin.
Sunday
Easter Sunday
We spent the day at Mum's with her and Tony and Mum was thrilled when James, Frankie and Scarlett came too. Dorothy cooked us all a lovely Easter lunch.
In the evening we made our way to Eastbourne. The regular EDGH routine resumes next week!
